What is UMDF?

We are the United Methodist Development Fund (UMDF) - a United Methodist organization that not only offers loans to churches and investment opportunities to churches and individuals, but also uses a significant portion of our net revenue to support the work of the church.

What does UMDF Do?

UMDF works to provide loans to United Methodist churches, organizations, boards, and agencies across the United States. We finance new construction, church expansion, renovation, church purchases, church acquisitions, and refinancing.

We also work with partners, like local UM Foundations.

UMDF offers investment opportunities to individuals, churches, organizations, boards, and agencies, who want to invest in the work of growing the church.

Lastly, UMDF is developing Leadership Ministry platforms to inspire and encourage church leaders across the country as they work to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

How does umdf make a difference?

UMDF invests in leaders and the church, because we believe what you are doing makes a difference in the world. We offer loans to help you reach your mission field and dream the God-sized dreams that will be meaningful in your communities. By extension we offer others the opportunity to invest in you as well, because when investments are made in UMDF they fund loans that make ministry possible!
